No. We teach you everything you need to know to run your business. If you can scramble eggs, you can teach kids about healthy cooking and nutrition. We’ll show you how.
You will need a PC and internet to complete the ONLINE certification program.
That depends on you. This is a 20-hour self-study online course that you can do in your spare time from your home computer. Some instructors have received certification in as little as 2 days. Other instructors have taken months to complete the training.

Yes. We offer training and certification but what you name your company and how you run it, is totally up to you.
No. We are not a franchise. We are an online training and support company. We simply teach you how to start a mobile cooking class business from scratch and provide you with content you can use when holding classes.
No. If you decide to join the Healthy Hands Cooking membership after you are certified, you will have an option to our membership which is Healthy Hands Cooking’s proprietary software and includes a personalized website, a complete back office with class scheduling and registration system, a payment portal, waivers, forms, lesson plans, materials and access to HHC’s private Certified Instructor support community. Some certified instructors use this website exclusively while some link it to their own branded website.
That is totally up to you. Treat it as a hobby or hold multiple classes, camps and birthday parties every week or month.
You will need to buy food and supplies to make your recipes and teach your students. Most common recipes average between $3- $5 per student dependent on where you buy your food. If you are renting a facility to hold classes – you may have a cost for that and can be recouped in your class fees. We will also show you dozens of locations to hold classes for free.
We'll provide you with at least 35 facility ideas as part of your training. You will see that a full kitchen is not needed to teach classes. You simply need a sink, soap, garbage can, workspace, and a few simple plug-in appliances like a toaster, blender, and pancake griddle.
Either, or. It’s your business. You choose your own hours and create your own schedule based on your goals and life. We'll show you how to grow your business from part-time to full-time if you so choose.
Yes…But since you can’t be in multiple places at once, we do have a Certified Helper program for $249 available in your back office where you can certify employees to teach classes, camps, or parties in multiple locations at once, on your behalf. This means more revenue for you. For example, say you partnered with a school district for after-school programs but there were ten elementary schools. You could have 10 helpers teaching at each of the 10 schools every day. And then yes, you'd make a lot of money, even after paying your helpers. Please refer to our Income Disclaimer at the bottom of our website.
If you join the membership after certification training, you will get your own class scheduler on your provided website.
After training, we will help you decide on what age group and niche interest you most. Typical lesson plans include one and two-hour introductory themed classes, 8-Hour Core Cooking Programs, Summer Day Camps, Birthday Parties, After School Programs and even Girl Scout cooking for badges classes. You can choose to offer as many or as a few types of classes as you like.
Most certified instructors have historically done in-person classes but COVID forced many instructors to start teaching virtually. You can do either. In-person classes have the added benefit of giving the student’s parents a break, you can charge more money, and they also encourage interaction and hands-on learning, but the choice is yours. In-person, virtual, or both, you decide.
We are here for any technical questions upon purchase but the certification process is self-driven. Instructors can join our private Facebook group for networking and support from Healthy Hands Cooking and other HHC instructors.
Membership is the community and automated software to run your business once everything is legally set up after the instructor certification is completed.
